Children's Ministry
Childcare is provided by Risk Management approved childcare providers and is supervised, non-instructional play. Pagers are available upon request to parents of children visiting Eagle Ridge Church of God and using the nurseries. Parents will be paged if a child is unsettled for five minutes. *NOTE to Parents or Guardians: Snacks and drinks are often served to the toddler and preschoolers, so please inform care providers of special dietary needs or allergies and note them on the sign-in sheet.
Tots Zone is our Preschool Program for 3 & 4 year olds and young 5’s during the 9:30 am Worship Celebration, and continues through the 11:00 am Sunday School hour. This program consists of supervised activity, music, and Bible lessons revolving around a theme. Children will participate in the production of artwork and crafts that relate to the lessons.
Kids Zone is our children’s program for grades K-5 during the 9:30 am Worship Celebration. Children will be dismissed after Kids Time from the Family Life Center at approximately 10:00 am. Kids Zone ties into our Journey to the Son Sunday School program which is based on one Bible story each month with weekly workshops. Children will participate in story, service, scripture, and surprise each month.
Journey to the Son uses the workshop rotation model for our children, grades K-2 and 3-5, to learn many important Bible stories and lessons reinforced through cooking, computers, art, science, drama, music, physical movement or some other creative means. Each month will have a focus Bible story/lesson. Children will be encouraged to learn the stories/lessons, memorize scripture and apply it to their lives in meaningful ways.
