We believe the Bible to be the divinely inspired, irrefutable Word of God, which is the basis of our teaching and preaching, and is the catalyst for transforming lives in a Christ-centered church. 2 Timothy 3:16-17; James 1:22; Psalm 33:4
We believe prayer is at the core of discerning God’s will for us, and is an essential part of all aspects of our lives. Philippians 4:6; Colossians 1:9-12; Colossians 4:2; James 5:13-16
We believe that Worship is the reverent encounter between the worshipper and God; a tangible means of showing honor, respect, appreciation and praise to the Lord, recognizing His worthiness. Worship occurs in large and small groups and individually. The manner or worship should be appropriate to the culture and spiritual maturity of the worshipper. Hebrews 12:28-29; Acts 2:42; 46-47; John 4:24 Part of the way we worship is through the practice of the Ordinances. Practice of the Ordinances points us to Christ. Romans 6:4-5; 1 Corinthians 10:16; John 13:14
We believe the Holy Spirit empowers the church as evidenced by the presence of spiritual fruit and spiritual gifts. Acts 1:8; Galatians 5:22-23; 1 Corinthians 12:1-31
We believe that all followers of Christ should exhibit Christian values and sincerely seek continual Spiritual Growth. Means include instruction, experiential action, and small groups. Ephesians 2:8-10; Ephesians 4:15; Ephesians 6:4; 1 Peter 2:2-3
We believe in the Unity of Believers as prayed for by Jesus and as taught through the Church of God (Anderson, IN). This unity is to provide a non-judgmental fellowship and ministry for all people on the basis of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We believe in having the Flexibility to meet the changing needs of our cultures without compromising our Core Values. Ephesians 5:15-17; Matthew 9:17; Romans 7:6
We believe that every Christian has a responsibility to actively befriend unbelievers to bring them to a relationship with Jesus Christ. We believe that the Eagle Ridge Church of God should use its resources to facilitate interaction leading to inclusion into the Body of Christ. Matthew 18:14; Luke 19:10; John 1:41-42; Acts 11:24-26
We believe that every follower of Christ recognizes that God is the source of all life and is therefore to be honored in all areas of life through the good stewardship of all areas of life. This includes the areas of our finances, time, talent, and spiritual giftedness. Romans 12:1; Malachi 3:6-12; Luke 19:11-17; Luke 20:20-25
