CHURCH OF GOD INTERNATIONAL LIVING LINK MISSIONARIES

Gary and Gwen Bistritan and family Randa, Kelty, and Jared

Gary spent most of his childhood years in rural towns in Saskatchewan. He received his education from Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, Alberta Bible Institute (now Gardner Bible College), and Anderson School of Theology.
Gary and Gwen Bistritan
Gwen was also born in Canada. She grew up on a farm in Camrose, Alberta. She received her post high school education from Alberta Bible Institute, Camrose Lutheran College, and
Anderson School of Theology.

The two were married in July 1977 and have three children: Randa, Kelty, and Jared. Commissioned as missionaries to Guam in June, 1985, they began pastoring the church in January, 1986; in 1993 their assignment was expanded to include church planting in Micronesia.

Their goal is for local pastors to be trained and financially supported by the churches of Guam. Gary devotes much of his time to outreach ministry and related communications, overseeing various ministries and outreach events in the Micronesia area.

Timothy and Colleen Stevenson and family Tiffany, Natasha, Jesse and Logan

Tim and Colleen are both Canadian. Tim grew up in a minister’s home and in 1967 moved to Africa with his family. Colleen is the daughter of veteran Church of God missionaries, Stanley and Marion Hoffman, and grew up in Tanzania.

Tim attended George Brown College and the Southern Institute of Technology, gaining experience in the tool and die trade, attaining the status of journeyman carpenter. Colleen earned her Associate degree from Anderson University in early childhood education.

Tim and Colleen married in Canada and have four children; two daughters, Tiffany and Natasha, both whom were born in Uganda while they were serving as special assignment missionaries. They also have two sons, Jesse, born in Canada, and Logan born in Zambia.

The Stevensons went to Uganda as career missionaries in 1990 but served as special assignment missionaries for four years before making that decision. They currently live in Kampala, Uganda. Tim is very involved in many development projects for the Ugandan church and is a gifted builder/contractor. Colleen is serving as administrator for three large children’s aid programs, and works extensively with several schools and women’s groups throughout the country. They wear a multitude of hats and find it rewarding, both spiritually and physically.

Tiffany is attending Rift Valley Academy.

CHURCH OF GOD INTERNATIONAL PASTORAL MISSIONARIES

Tim and Josie Vickey

The influence of eastern religion is evident throughout the island as well as in the Aina Valley where the church is located.  Next door is a Taoist temple and two doors up the valley is a Buddhist temple.  It is our prayer that our small church may become a beacon of Christ's love in this spiritually darkened valley and to the wider community.
