Our Mission

The Eagle Ridge Church of God Ministry Partners seeks to reach lost people with the transformational message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

bullet

We are committed to establishing ministry partnerships with international, national, and local ministries that embrace a holistic approach to evangelism – one that is spiritual, practical, relational, emotional, and culturally sensitive.

bullet

We place particular emphasis on presenting the Gospel to unreached people groups who often face the greatest barriers to hearing the good news of Jesus Christ.

The Mission Committee has two major emphasis:

Living Link Missionaries - where the committee seeks to provide support and connection to missionaries around the world that are connected to this congregation through the Living Link Program, (to learn more about our missionaries, click here.)

and

Faith Promise Ministries - where we provide support and encouragement to other partner ministries locally, nationally and internationally.

Tim and Josie Vickey

Aina Haina Church of God in Hawaii

The influence of eastern religions is evident throughout the island as well as in the Aina Haina Valley where the church is located. Next door to the church is a Taoist temple and two doors up the valley is a Buddhist temple. It is our prayer that our small church may become a beacon of Christ’s love in this spiritually darkened valley and to the wider community.

Mediterranean Bible College

Camille Melkie and Hoda, his wife, serve the Lord at this seat-of-learning where Middle Eastern Christians are trained for future service as pastors and Bible teachers. The central task of the college is to raise up servant-leadership for the Church in the Mediterranean region.

Highlighting the Emergency Food Pantry

There are two ways you can help the Food Pantry.

  1. The Food Pantry Financial Donations: It may be possible for you to give $100 to the Food Pantry at a cost of only $36! For each dollar you donate to the Food Pantry, the state of Michigan may give you a $.50 tax credit and your federal taxes may be reduced by $.14. The Michigan tax credit is limited to $200 for single filers and $400 for couples. You may donate here at Eagle Ridge Church, but the check must be made out to the Midland County Emergency Food Pantry Network to qualify. (As in all tax matters, please check with your tax advisor to determine how this donation will affect your taxes.)

  2. The Food Pantry Food Donations: The Midland County Emergency Food Pantry Network operates 365 days a year to provide food for those in need. A cash or check donation to the Food Pantry can purchase that food while providing you with a reduction in you federal and state income taxes.

As we make plans for the summer, it is easy to forget that there are those in our area who do not get enough to eat on a daily basis. When we moved to Eagle Ridge Church, the collection box for the Food Pantry was placed under a table outside the church office, where it is easy for us to forget about it at times. To assist in keeping the Food Pantry on your mind all year, the Care Concerns Committee has printed some labels which you may place on your calendars to remind you to bring a food item each month. The labels are available in packets at the Information Center and in your family mailbox.

Place a label on one Sunday in each month of your calendar as a Food Pantry reminder. You may also choose to place the labels directly on items you want to donate to the Food Pantry. Please don't feel that the one can of food you can donate each month will not make a difference. If only 100 members of our congregation donate one item once a month, there will be 100 more items of food to help our neighbors. If you don't help to make a difference, who will?
