The Edge Youth Ministry

Middle and High School students attend youth group on Sunday nights from 5-7 pm where they eat, play games, learn, and connect with others.

The word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”

“Alas, Sovereign Lord,” I said, “I do not know how to speak; I am too young.”

But the Lord said to me, “Do not say, ‘I am too young.’ You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you. Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the Lord.

Meet our Youth Pastor!

Matt Chesney serves as our Director of Student Ministries and Outreach. He is a former high school teacher and principal who heard a strong voice from God to resign his position and become a youth pastor! He and his wife, Melissa, moved from southern Michigan to Midland in August of 2017 with their four children and now he spends his time working to share the Gospel with the youth of Midland.

Matt's philosophy about student ministries is that the best way to draw closer to God is through building relationships with each other and having fun.

Matt's favorite movie is The Matrix, his favorite band is Green Day, and is favorite food is Lasagna.

Warner Camp
The Edge Youth have traveled to Warner Camp for many times for many great adventures! The video shows just some of the fun the youth have on the trip. We are attending Warner Camp again this summer!

Eagle Ridge has close ties to Warner Camp in Grand Junction, MI. They have a host of events and activities for youth available. Check them out here.
